Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard has been producing apples for nearly a century. Not only are the apples rich with flavor but so is the history. Plan a trip to Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard to enjoy fresh-picked apples, apple doughnuts, apple cider, and of course learn about our rich history. The U-Pick barn will be open starting AppleJack Weekend for apple picking. More information will be coming soon.
57th Annual AppleJack Festival 2025: September 20th & 21st
It's time to celebrate the harvest season with educational family fun, U-Pick apples, hayrack rides, delicious homemade Apple Cider Doughnuts, caramel apples, homemade apple pie, and other delicious treats! Join us for family fun with delicious treats, adventures on the Pollinator Playground, hayrack rides into the Orchard for U-Pick, and a vendor fair! The Kimmel Education Research Center will have activities and educational programming from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
2025 Scarecrow Festival: Saturday, September 27 - Saturday, October 11
The Kimmel Scarecrow Festival offers families, businesses, and civic groups an opportunity to show their creativity and enjoy the fall tradition. Create an original scarecrow in the Kimmel Scarecrow Field. Two winners will be named from the scarecrows entered: 1. Kimmel Employee Favorite, and 2. Public Choice. Hayrack Tours will be available on weekends. Sit back and enjoy the hayrack tour through the orchard, enjoy the beauty of fall, and vote for your favorite scarecrow. Hayrack Tour tickets are $7.00 each. Special events will be held each weekend of the festival. Watch for more details soon!
